How to Care for Your Competition Suit: Tips and Tricks

All right, time for the bikini competitions. Your micro bikini competition suit has been put on, your skin is painted on with the right shade of tan, and you're ready to hit the stage!

It's SHOW TIME now, so prepare yourself and go pumping!

But show time is over now and that gorgeous bikini competition suit you were wearing on stage isn't quite as gorgeous as it once was. It is filled with spray tan marks, and sweat and looks a little worn out! But don't worry! We are going to help to teach you how to turn your micro bikini competition suit brand new after numerous wears!

Give this a careful read, and if you follow our instructions, your bikini competition suit will look like it just arrived in the mail.

Things required for washing:

       Sink

       Coldwater,

Towel or cloth, toothbrush or toothpaste

       Use mild detergent

Preparatory Measures - To make sure your bikini competition suits last you longer, there are a few crucial things you should do before you begin cleaning:

Fast Rinse: After every stage performance, submerge your competition suit in a cold water bath to remove any remaining traces of tanning chemicals, sweating, and other foreign matter.

Preserving Colors: Steer clear of direct sunshine and extreme heat as these might deteriorate the fabric, suit connectors, and rhinestones on your micro bikini competition suit.

Gentle Handling: Your suit needs a more personal touch, so wash it by hand rather than in a machine.

Here’s how to wash the competition suit -

In the sink or bathtub (whatever you prefer) pour very cold water. Pour in a lot of the mild liquid detergent. Wisk and Tide are my two favorites. Submerge the suit into the chilly water while giving it a little shake. Give it a few minutes to soak in the soapy water and settle in.

Next, flip the right side over into your palm so that the colored and glued inside is facing up. Now directly onto the adhesive, pour a small amount of the liquid detergent. Once the glue just glides off the suit, use the fingernail brush and softly brush in a single direction many times. But be careful, you do not want the crystals or suit connectors to fall off if you brush a little too hard!

Cleaning your suit can feel like nasty stuff but be patient, it will clean out just fine.

After removing all the guck off of your suit, drain the soapy water from the sink and replace it with a second round of cold water. Until there are no more suds, slosh the suit around, empty it, and repeat. It usually takes four or six times.

Once the suit is free of the scum, lay it on a towel on a flat surface for approximately half an hour, or until most of the water has been removed from the suit. The micro bikini competition suit should then be hung up to dry. You'll be wearing a gorgeous, washed, and completely new-looking suit once more!

I now want to bring up a very significant point that is both serious and not at all humorous. Please make sure to clean the suit's crotch area in the same manner as the adhesive if you plan to sell it or, if you're feeling kind, just give it away to some other athlete. That one doesn't need an explanation, but for many of you gals, it hits the mark.

In conclusion, the same amount of thought and care that you put into your training and preparation should also go into your competition bikini suits. These washing and maintenance instructions will help you keep your micro bikini competition suits looking great, fitting properly, and prepared for your upcoming competition. It shows that you are committed to perfection and respect the path you have chosen in your sport when you handle your competition suits with care.
